PHARMACOECONOMICS AS A USEFUL TOOL BAG: A CASE STUDY
Dr. Shamna M. S.* and Dr. Deepu S.
ABSTRACT Infectious morbidity remains a leading cause of postsurgical complications following Caesarean delivery. Postoperative surgical site infection remains a prime source of illness and a less frequent cause of death in the surgical patient. We report here a case study of wound infection after Caesarean delivery and was treated successfully. And also report the relevance of pharmacoeconomic evaluation as a useful tool bag for growing pharmacists. Wound infection increases the length of stay in hospital and also the cost of therapy. Cost of illness studies measure the economic burden of a disease and estimate the maximum amount that could potentially be saved or gained if a disease were to be eradicated. Keywords: Caesarean section, Post Caesarean infectious complication, Wound infection, Pharmacoeconomic, Surgical infectious complication. [Download Article] [Download Certifiate] |
