EFFECT OF PHYSIOCHEMICAL PARAMETERS ON FIBRINOLYTIC PROTEASE PRODUCTION BY SOLID STATE FERMENTATION
E. Venkata Naga Raju*, Divakar Goli
ABSTRACT
This work has been undertaken tostudy the different physiochemical
parameters such as various substrates, initial moisture level, substrate
particle size, inoculum size, pH, incubation temperature, incubation
period, carbon and nitrogen sources effecton the production of
fibrinolytic protease in solid-state fermentation using mutant Bacillus
cereus GD55. The fibrinolytic protease production was observed with
apple pomace (34.28 ± 0.21U/g), initial moisture level 70% (38.39 ±
0.10 U/g),substrate particle size 1.2 mm (42.15 ± 0.17U/g), inoculum
size 2.0% (46.86 ± 0.98 U/g),initial pH 8 (46.60 ± 0.36 U/g),
incubation temperature 37°C (46.78 ± 0.19U/g),incubation period 3
Days (48.32 ± 0.24U/g), carbon source fructose (52.19 ± 0.13 U/g),
peptone (56.18 ± 0.21U/g), NH4NO3 (53.24 ± 0.64 U/g) in the production medium.
