AN OVERVIEW ON THE BENEFITS AND APPLICATIONS OF HIGH PERFORMANCE ION MOBILITY SPECTROMETER IN PHARMACEUTICAL ARENA- FOCUS ON CURRENT RESEARCH

ABSTRACT

This write-up provides a review on IMS (ion mobility spectrometer) and electro spray ionization high performance ion mobility spectrometer (ESI-HPIMS). The advantage of ESI-HPIMS over the conventional IMS is discussed. The rapidity and convenience of ESI-HPIMS for a broad range application including its reaction monitoring, content uniformity are also addressed. The applicability of ESI-HPIMS in various sample analysis is also touched upon.
