ABSTRACT
DNA profiling also called as DNA fingerprinting, DNA testing, or DNA typing, is a forensic technique used to identify individuals by characteristics of their DNA. A DNA profile is a small set of DNA variations that is very likely to be different in all unrelated individuals, thereby being as unique to individuals as are fingerprints. It is a test to identify and evaluate the genetic information-called DNA (deoxyribonucleic acid)-in a person's cells. The test is used to determine whether a family relationship exists between two people, to identify organisms causing a disease, and to solve crimes. The information provided by DNA-fingerprinting analysis are for personal identification and for the determination of paternity.DNA were isolated from different sites of oral saliva using phenol – chloroform – isoamyl alcohol. Concentration of DNA determined on dilution factors.
