Abstract

STUDY OF FORMULATIONS OF SHALAKYA TANTRA FROM YOGASHATAKAM

ABSTRACT

Unpublished manuscript â€žYogashatakamâ€Ÿ[1] was collected from Vaidik Samshodhan Mandal, Pune. It was written by Shree Nandlal in 17th century. Yogashatakam was studied to find out its contribution in Shalakya Tantra related topics. Among 106 formulations Yogashatakam contains total 18 formulations for 19 diseases. When those formulations were studied for their indications in detail it was observed that there are total 39 formulations related to Shalakya Tantra. There are total seven new formulations like Mushkakadi kshar taila, Gugguladi taila, Abdhiphenadi anjan, Goshatadi anjan, Vasadi ghrita, Mustadi varti and Arkadi kashay.
