KINETIC AND THERMODYNAMIC STUDY ON OXIDATION OF NI (II) METAL COMPLEX

ABSTRACT The Kinetic of oxidation of Ni (II) derived from 8-hydroxy quinolone and salicylaldehyde by potassium permanganate has been studied in the presence of acidic medium. The overall reaction is first order with respect to KMnO4, Substrate acid and temperature. No effect of salts has been found suitable mechanism is given.
