PREVALENCE OF BREAST CANCER IN DIFFERENT PERSONALITY TRAITS (PRAKRITI)

ABSTRACT
Background: In present scenario world is moving towards personalized system of medicine. Ayurveda has classified seven broad constitution types (prakriti) amongst these, three most contrasting types, vata, pitta, and kapha, are the most vulnerable to develop disease. Efforts are being made toward capturing disease pheno types for identification of most vulnerable for breast cancer. Objective: To find the predominance of incidence of breast cancer in female patient of breast cancers with Ayurved aspect of prakriti. Study design: Observational study was conducted on randomly selected 60 histological proven breast cancer female patients from local regional
cancer hospital. Result: Among 60 female breast cancer patients 18.33% subjects found of vata prakriti, 31.66% subjects found of pitta prakriti, 50% subjects found of kapha prakriti. Conclusion: Female individual of kapha prakriti is more vulnerable to develop breast cancer in their life.
