DEVELOPMENT AND VALIDATION OF RP-HPLC METHOD FOR SIMULTANEOUS ESTIMATION OF DOXYCYCLINE AND ORNIDAZOLE IN BULK AND TABLET DOSAGE FORM

ABSTRACT

In view of the need for a suitable RP-HPLC method for routine analysis of Doxycycline and Ornidazole in formulation, an attempt was made to develop simple, precise and accurate analytical method for estimation of Doxycycline and Ornidazole and to find out its applicability and determination in formulation. An attempt was made in a stepwise manner to develop a simple, rapid, selective, validated and sophisticated method, for determination of a novel rapid RP-HPLC method for simultaneous estimation of Doxycycline and Ornidazole in bulk and tablet dosage form. HPLC provides greater selectivity, specificity and resolution between two peaks, and also useful in quantitative analysis of multi component mixture. To optimize various parameters like mobile phase, λmax, column flow rate, temperature conditions. Various Parameters are validated with according to ICH guidelines.
