SYNTHESIS AND ANTIMICROBIAL ACTIVITY OF SOME NEW 1,3,4-THIADIAZOLES AND THIAZOLES FROM 1-(5-METHYL-1-(P-TOLYL)-1H-1,2,3-TRIAZOL-4-YL)ETHANONE

ABSTRACT

A novel 1,3,4-thiadiazoles and 1,3-thiazoles containing 1,2,3-triazole moiety were synthesized via reaction of hydrazonoyl halides with alkyl carbothioate and thiosemicarbazone derivatives. The structures of the newly synthesized compounds were established based on their spectral data and elemental analyses. Also, the newly synthesized compounds were screened for their antimicrobial activity against various microorganisms.
