Abstract

OVERVIEW STUDY ON PHYTOCHEMICAL AND PHARMACOLOGICAL ACTIVITY OF KALANCHOE PINNATA

ABSTRACT

The plant Kalanchoe pinnata is a perennial herb belongs to family Crassulaceae, which is used in ayuredva. It is widely used in traditional medicine for the treatment of variety of ailments like anti-inflammatory, nephroprotective, anthelmentic, antipyretic, immunosuppressive and antidiabetic, hepatoprotective, antioxidant activity, antimicrobial activity, analgesic. The present review of the Kalanchoe pinnata is based on Botanical characters, Taxonomy, Phytochemical constituents and Pharmacological activity.
