Abstract

RECENT STUDIES ABOUT SYNTHESIS AND BIOLOGICAL ACTIVITY OF QUINOLONES AND DERIVATIVES: A REVIEW

ABSTRACT

The development of novel compounds being quinolones has shown that they possess a wide variety of biological activities, as antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, antimalarial, anticancer, antifungal, antitubercular and others. A number of researchers have synthesized and evaluated the biological activities of new quinolones, showing its importance to obtaining new drugs. This review aims at highlighting of synthesis and diverse biological activities of some quinolones and of their derivatives.
