SYNTHESIS AND CHARACTERISATION OF SOME NOVEL 2- AZETIDINONE DERIVATIVES WITH BENZOTHIAZOLE MOIETY.

ABSTRACT

In the present study, a new series of 2-azetidinone derivatives were achieved by corresponding Schiff bases IV (a-g) by reaction with acid chlorides in the presence of base. Schiff bases IV (a-g) were prepared by corresponding quinolene derivative III (a-g) and 1, 3-benzothiazole- 2-carbohydrazide II. All the synthesized compounds were characterized on the basis of IR, NMR spectroscopic data and Elemental Analysis.
