From the alcoholic extract of Cassia occidentalis, 3, 2'– dihydroxy–7,8,4'–trimethoxyflavone–5–O–[ –Dglucopyranosyl( 12)]– –D–galactopyranoside was isolated. The structure was established by U V, I R, NMR and mass spectral studies.
