ABSTRACT

Present study reveals that correlation coefficient of physic-chemical properties of Bangal lake of Nirmal town. It is situated 1/2 km distance from Nirmal bus stand. Lake is situated north side of the city it is constructed by Asafja period. The water samples were taken during the study period September 2011 to August 2013 monthly wise. Water samples were analyzed at lake by standard method APHA(2005)Water quality has been determined in the term of selected parameters such as temperature, ph, Turbidity, Transparence, Total hardness, alkalinity, Total Dissolved Solids, Biological oxygen demand, Chemical oxygen demand, Dissolved oxygen, Chlorides. Phosphate, Sulphate. Main water source of this lake is rain water Hills are situated northern part
of the lake. Our investigation revailed that all the parameters are in permissible limit that’s Why this lake is considered as fresh water lake. The lake ecosystem was suitable for fish culture, agriculture practices. It is useful for economic growth of neighbor people.
