SUBGENUS AGARICUS: THREE NEW RECORDS TO INDIA

ABSTRACT The present paper deals with the taxonomy, distribution, ecology and ethnomycology of three taxa of genus Agaricus L.:Fr. collected from Punjab viz., A. campestris var. floccipes, A. hondensis and Agaricus bernardii. These taxa belongs to subgenus Agaricus, characterized by the unstriated fleshy cap having little developed veil composed of cylindrical inflated elements, and constitutes new records to India.
