ABSTRACT

Simple and convient procedure have been developing for the synthesis of 3-((E)-2,3-dihydro-2-aryl benzo[b][1,4]thiazepin-4-yl)-4- hydroxy-1-methylquinolin-2(1H)-one 4(a-e) by condensation reaction between 2-amino thiophenol and chalcones 3(a-e) using benzyl tri ethyl ammonium chloride.in ethanol.
