Abstract

IN VITRO SCREENING OF ANTI-HBV PROPERTIES OF SELECTED INDIAN MEDICINAL PLANTS FROM KOLLI HILLS, NAMAKKAL DISTRICT OF TAMILNADU, INDIA.

ABSTRACT

The present work appears to verify the anti-viral activity of designated 3 medicinal plants specifically genus Hybanthus enneaspermus, Enicostemma axillare and Terminalia bellerica against HBV polymer enzyme and HBsAg. The methanol extract of Hybanthus enneaspermus inhibited HBs Ag binding; Terminalia bellerica and Enicostemma axillare inhibited HBV polymer enzyme.
