ABSTRACT Several 3-(2',3'-Epoxypropyloximino)-1-benzoyl indole-2-one 3, 3-(3'-Substituted phenyl-2'-hydroxy propyloximino)-1-benzoyl indole-2-one have been synthesized by using conventional synthetic strategy. All the synthesized compounds have been characterized by elemental (C,H,N) and spectral (I.R., 1H- NMR, Mass) analysis. Furthermore, synthesized compounds were screened for their antibacterial as well as antifungal activities. Screened derivatives explored mild to moderate antibacterial and antifungal inhibition.
