IN VITRO EVALUATION OF HEMOLYTIC ACTIVITY AND CELL VIABILITY ASSAY OF HEXANOIC EXTRACTS OF BRIDELIA FERRUGINEA BENTH
Saisha Vinjamuri*, Devyani Shanker, Rao Shreesha Ramesh and Shyamala Nagarajan
ABSTRACT The hemolytic and cell viability assays of the hexanoic extract of Bridellia Ferruginea Benth leaves at concentrations ranging from 20-80 ng/mL were studied to evaluate its biocompatibility and cytotoxicity on MCF-7 cell lines by MTT assay The results indicate that the hexanoic extract shows hemolytic activity at concentrations above 20ng/mL while it had no cytotoxic effect at these concentrations on MCF-7 cell lines. Keywords: hemolytic, hexanoic extract, cytotoxicity, MTT. [Download Article] [Download Certifiate] |
