BIO-ASSAY OF CICERARIETINUM (BENGAL GRAM), ACROTYLOMAUNIFLORUM (HORSE GRAM) AND VIGNARADIATA (GREEN GRAM); EXPOSED TO VEDIC CHANTING- LALITHA SAHASRANAMA COMPARED WITH CONTROL
Phani Rama Krishna Chundury and Geetha Viswanathan*
ABSTRACT The present research leads to study the effect of Lalitha Sahasranama Music (LSM) on plants growth. For this, three types of plants were selected cicerarietinum (bengal gram), macrotylomauniflorum (horse gram) and vignaradiata (green gram). Good quality seeds of each variety were planted in appropriate pots demarcated as “Experimental” and “Control”. The pots marked as “Experimental” were moved to a separate room and exposed to LSM. Mearly in the morning each day for 14 days and soon after the exposure, they were kept along with “Control” ones. Both “Experimental” and “Control” pots were exposed to similar conditions except for LSM. Observations were made on different parameters of plant growth (depending upon growth) such as date of germination, length of plant, number of leaves, size of leaves and color of leaves in each of the variety of plants. Scientific measurements were also done on total protein, carbohydrate and chlorophyll. The results were good with 37% increase in protein content, 3% increase in carbohydrate content and 22% increase in chlorophyll content.
