Abstract

COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF THE DYNAMICS OF CYTOKINE PROFILE IN PATIENTS WITH PSORIASIS AS A RESULT OF UVA-1 PHOTOTHERAPY AND PUVA

ABSTRACT

Objectives: The study examined clinical (PASI) and laboratory criteria during long-wavelength ultraviolet therapy (UVA-1) and PUVA therapy in treatment of patients with psoriasis. Material and methods: The patient group comprised 70 adults with medium to severe and severe psoriasis in the progressive phase of dermatosis. For laboratory evaluation a number of indicators of cytokine profile were used, in particular IL-1β; γ-INF; IL-17; IL-10. Results: As a result of phototherapy treatments statistically significant differences in the impact of these psoriasis therapies on cytokine profile indicators of the patients had not been received.
