Abstract

“SYNTHESIS & CHARACTERIZATION OF SOME NOVEL 2, 2’ (SUBSTITUTED ARYL) METHYLENE DITHIOPHENE USING B-CYCLODEXTRIN AS A SUPRAMOLECULAR CATALYST.”

ABSTRACT

A series of Novel 2, 2’ (substituted Aryl) methylene dithiophene were synthesized, structurally analyzed & confirmed by I.R., 1HNMR, 13CNMR spectral data. The simple electrophilic substitution reaction of thiophene with aromatic aldehydes is reported using mortal pestle in presence of B- Cyclodextrin as a supramolecular catalyst.
