ABSTRACT Migraine is a common and disabling neurological disorder characterized by recurrent attacks of headache, often accompanied by nausea, vomiting, photophobia, and phonophobia. Although pharmacological therapy plays an important role in migraine management, lifestyle modification and non-pharmacological strategies are increasingly recognized as essential components of comprehensive care. This review summarizes evidence regarding lifestyle interventions and non-pharmacological approaches for migraine prevention and management. Key lifestyle measures include regular sleep, balanced nutrition, adequate hydration, regular physical activity, stress management, and identification and avoidance of individual migraine triggers. Dietary interventions and selected nutritional supplements may provide additional benefits in reducing migraine frequency and severity in some patients. Behavioral approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness-based interventions, relaxation techniques, and biofeedback can help manage stress and improve coping with migraine. Physical approaches, including therapeutic exercise, yoga, physiotherapy, and selected manual therapies, may contribute to symptom reduction and improved quality of life. Acupuncture has also demonstrated potential benefits in migraine prevention, while non-invasive neuromodulation techniques provide promising drug-free therapeutic options. Overall, evidence supports an individualized, multimodal approach combining lifestyle optimization with appropriate non-pharmacological interventions. These strategies may reduce migraine burden, improve quality of life, and complement pharmacological treatment, although further high-quality studies are required to establish standardized protocols and long-term effectiveness.
