ABSTRACT Introduction: Middle-aged adults are increasingly prone to oxidative stress and deterioration in mental well-being due to aging, lifestyle modifications, and psychological stress. Guduchyadi Rasayana is a classical Ayurvedic polyherbal formulation selected as the investigational drug in a clinical study conducted for the promotion of mental well-being in middle-aged adults. Objective: The present study was undertaken to evaluate the baseline microbial stability of Guduchyadi Rasayana under different climatic conditions during the storage period. Methods: Guduchyadi Rasayana was prepared under standard operating procedures and stored in appropriately sealed containers under ambient conditions. The formulation was evaluated at regular intervals over the study period for the assessment of mycological findings and the presence of microorganisms by smear examination and culture study. Results and Conclusion: During the study period, microbial contamination was observed under specific environmental conditions. The affected samples were appropriately managed, and subsequent microbiological evaluation revealed no bacterial or fungal contamination. At the end of the study, Guduchyadi Rasayana was found to be microbiologically stable and free from microbial contamination under the prescribed storage conditions, indicating its suitability and safety for clinical use.
