ABSTRACT

Nanoemulgel is a clever topical drug delivery system mixing nanoemulsion and hydrogel to get meds past the skin's outer barrier and deeper in. The stratum corneum is that tough top layer that usually stops regular creams from delivering enough drugs. These nanoemulgels beat it with super-small nanosized droplets. They ramp up surface area, improve drug solubility, and let the medicine reach deeper skin layers. Core parts: oil phase, aqueous phase, surfactants, co-surfactants, and gelling agents—they keep it stable, release the drug steadily, and boost bioavailability. For the nanoemulsion, go high-energy like high-pressure homogenization or low-energy like phase inversion, then blend into hydrogel.
