ERYTHROCYTES AS GOOD DRUG CARRIER SYSTEMS IN NOVEL DRUG DELIVERY
Dr. M. Harish Reddy*
ABSTRACT Novel drug delivery system has been introduced to the overcome the draw back in the fluctuating the drug levels associating with the conventional dosage forms they are various carrier systems. One of the best carrier system released erythrocytes also known as red blood cells, these are drug carrier, biodegradable, biocompatable in novel drug delivery systems. The cells crucial role in oxygen deliver to various parts of the organ. These cells are tempo rarely swelling and rupture in hypotanic solutions. These cells are long circulated and extended biological half-life in blood stream. These cells placed in hytonic medium causing them to swell and temporary open pores in their surface membrane, then drug enters the cell through these pores. Therapeutic agents (drugs, enzymes and peptides) loaded in the membrane the cells released in to closed sphere. These cells are natural in the human body specific organs to treat disease or tumors. They capability for prevention of premature degradation and indoctrination. Keywords: Biocompatable, Degradable, Hypotanic, Capability, Erythrocytes. [Download Article] [Download Certifiate] |
