ABSTRACT Syringomyelia is a neurological disorder caused by the formation of fluid filled cavity within the spinal cord. It can occur as result of chiari malformations, trauma, tumors, congenital abnormalities. The narrative review of syringomyelia focuses on its epidemiology, various subtypes, pathophysiology, diagnostic approaches, clincal features, and management of syringomyelia. Early diagnosis and timely management is required to improve neurological outcomes.
