JYOTISHMATYADI ARKA KALPANA: AN EXTENSIVE REVIEW, METHODOLOGY, ANALYSIS AND EVALUATION
Dr. Pooja Ravindra Kadu* Dr. Prathamesh Pradeep Kashikar
ABSTRACT Traditionally, Arka Kalpana is a well-known drug preparation methodology among Ayurvedic texts also termed as “Distillation process” in present era. It was first used in Ayurvedic pharmacy in the latter half of the Samhita period. Its preparation method and therapeutic impact are highly specific. Compared to Kalka (paste), Kwath (decoction), Swarasa (juice), and other Ayurvedic dosage forms, it is more palatable. The first classical Ayurvedic text that describes different types of distillation is Arka Prakash. There are steps and heating techniques for making Arka from various Dravya varieties for various illnesses. Arka Kalpana is given particular significance in this context and is thought to be more potent than the other Kalpana. Because of its potency, reduced dosage, longer shelf life, ease of absorption, rapid action, and patient compliance, Arka Kalpana is becoming more and more popular among today's population. The Jyotishmatyadi Arka Kalpana's review, analysis, and evaluation are explicitly outlined in the present study approach. Keywords: Jyotishmatyadi Arka Kalpana, Arka Kalpana, Distillation, Ravana Samhita, Arka Prakash. [Download Article] [Download Certifiate] |
