Herbal Shampoo is a hair care formulation comprising natural plant herbs for cleansing hair ad scalp, removing excess oil, dirt, and dandruff. Bhringraj leaves (Eclipta alba / Eclipta prostrata), Fenugreek seeds (Trigonella foenum-graecum). The formulation was prepared by plant material extraction using aqueous decoction method followed by mixing them in thickening agent (Guar gum) and distilled water base. Sodium alginate was used as preservative, lavender oil was used as natural fragrance. The formulation was evaluated for physical appearance, pH, percentage solid content, Wettability, Viscosity, Surface tension, foaming ability and stability, dirt dispersion, skin irritation and stability testing. Stability studies were conducted for 1 month.
