ABSTRACT The present study focuses on the formulation and evaluation of a herbal face wash tablet as an innovative and eco-friendly alternative to conventional liquid face wash formulations. The formulation incorporates natural herbal ingredients such as Nelumbo nucifera, Chrysopogon zizanioides, and Moringa oleifera, known for their cleansing, antimicrobial, and antioxidant properties. The tablets were prepared using the direct compression method and evaluated for pre-compression parameters, including flow properties, and post-compression parameters such as hardness, friability, weight variation, disintegration time, pH, and foaming ability. The results indicated that the formulated tablets exhibited satisfactory physicochemical properties, rapid disintegration, effective cleansing action, and good stability. The pH of the formulation was found to be compatible with skin, indicating minimal chances of irritation. The study concludes that herbal face wash tablets offer a convenient, travel-friendly, and sustainable approach in modern skincare, with reduced dependency on synthetic chemicals and plastic packaging.
