COMPARATIVE REVIEW OF MEDICATED ANTI ULCER HARBAL CHEWING USING TULSI EXTRACT

ABSTRACT

Mouth ulcers are most common problem that are often caused due to stress, nutritional deficiencies, or oral injury. While the pharmaceutical gels and tablets exist but can’t give a proper relief to the patient. So the time patients who have passed by are in search of a more convenient, stable and natural solution to this issue without any side effect. For this problem we would use medicated Herbal anti-ulcer chewing gum using the great extracts of Tulsi [ocimum sanctum]. This plan combines the antique work of ayurveda through modern, user friendly drug delivery system. To such an extent we recognise that Tulsi recognized as the ‘Queen of herbs’ as it delivers the effective anti-inflammatory, anti-microbial, and cytoprotective properties. Tulsi succeeds as a usual oral antiseptic that can clearly terminate bacteria up to 99% present in the mouth which certainly helps to perceive relieve from the mouth ulcers. Tulsi comprises eugenol that work as COX-2 inhibitor, which is usually similar to some painkillers, providing an important pain-relieving and dazing effects at the ulcer site.[1]
