UNVEILING THE MULTIFACTORIAL CAUSES OF KSHUDRA ROGA I.E; ACNE

ABSTRACT Acne vulgaris is one of the most common problem affecting adolescents. This is most commonly seen in puberty stage of life. It has multiple aetiology which includes hormonal imbalance, peer pressure, genetic components, microbial colonization, lifestyle changes, and most important stress. In Ayurveda, acne is described as Mukhadushika or Yuvanapidika, which is a condition caused due to vitiation of Kapha, Pitta, Vata, and Rakta. This article tells about the different causes of acne according to modern as well as ayurvedic view. It further tells about the Samprapti (pathogenesis), lifestyle related causes, cosmetic triggers, disease associations, and mechanism factors. This comprehensive research review comprehends the classical Ayurvedic wisdom with contemporary dermatological views, offering a comprehensive perspective for better acknowledgement on this.
