FORMULATION AND EVALUATION OF MICROSPHERES OF SODIUM VALPROATE USING EUDRAGIT S100 POLYMER

ABSTRACT The present study was aimed to formulate and evaluate microspheres of sodium valproate using Eudragit S100 polymer for controlled drug delivery. Microspheres were prepared using solvent evaporation technique. The prepared microspheres were evaluated for particle size distribution. The particle size ranged from 150–400 µm. The results indicate that microspheres prepared using Eudragit polymer can be used for controlled drug delivery systems.
