FORMULATION AND EVALUATION MULTIPURPOSE FACE SERUM CONTAINING CAMELLIA SINENSIS

ABSTRACT

The present study aims to formulate and evaluate a multipurpose face serum loaded with Camellia sinensis (green tea) extract, a botanical ingredient recognized for its high antioxidant property and have dermatological benefits. Camellia sinensis is contain high amount of catechins, polyphenols, flavonoids, and vitamins witch help neutralize free radicals, reduce inflammation, protect skin cells from UV- damage, and reduce appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. In this study, the extract was incorporated into a lightweight, non-greasy serum base designed for rapid absorption and suitability for all skin types. Multiple serum formulations were developed using humectants, emollients, gelling agents, penetration enhancers, and natural stabilizers to achieve optimal clarity, consistency, and skin feel.
