ABSTRACT

In the vast landscape of Ayurvedic internal medicine (Kayachikitsa), Pandu Roga is a clinical entity that bears a striking resemblance to the modern diagnosis of Anemia. Derived from the word ‘Pandu’, which refers to a pale-white or yellowish-white colour (similar to the pollen of the Ketaki flower), this disease is characterized by a significant change in skin color and a depletion of the body’s vital essence.
