FLUCTUATIONS OF TEMPERATURE REGIMES IN THE DIFFERENT SEASONS INDUCES VARIABLE SECRETORY DYNAMICS IN THE CEREBRAL NEUROSECRETORY ELEMENTS IN LYMNAEA (RADIX) LUTEOLA WITH PARTICULAR REFERENCE TO SUDAN BLACK B STAIN
Dr. Trijit Nanda*, Subhra Kamal Ghosh, Dr. Malabika Bhattacharjee
ABSTRACT The investigation reveals the adoption of method Sudan BlackB (SBB) yields a good positive result of the cerebral ganglionicneurosecretory elements of Lymnaea (Radix) luteola exposedto various temperatures. Incidentally a good positive intensityof the stain is being elicited when the animals are kept in thedifferent fluctuating temperature regimes ([low (4°C, 10°C),near ambient (20°C, 25°C) and high (30°C, 35°C)] on theirsecretory dynamics.Concomitant with this, the histochemical nature of theneurosecretory material has also been recorded. In all theprofiles of study individuals exposed to near ambienttemperature are being considered as normal. And finally, thehistochemical analyses are made under different temperatureregies on the cerebral neurosecretory elements to ascertaincorrelative biochemical changes.
