REVISITING DRUG -INDUCED LIVER INJURY

ABSTRACT Liver is a primary organ in the human body responsible for numerous physiological function such as bile production, detoxification, fat soluble vitamin storage, drug and bilirubin metabolism, immunity, and digestion. The safety of drug usage is generally concerned, and significant improvement is being made in our understanding of drug induced liver injury (DILI) via human and animal research. This review is to revisit certain common drugs induced adverse effects to liver with an overview of promising future of DILI research.
