Dr. P. Srinivasan*, F. Mohamed Mukthar, S. Sanjai Balaji, M. Sowmya, A. Praveen Kumar, Rishva K. K.
ABSTRACT Parkinson’s disease (PD) is a chronic and progressive neurological disorder that mainly impairs movement. This loss of dopamine leads to hallmark motor symptoms, including shaking (tremors), muscle stiffness, slowness in movement (bradykinesia), and balance difficulties. It primarily affects motor function due to the degeneration of dopaminergic neurons in the substantia nigra of the brain. Globally, over 7–10 million people live with PD, and cases are projected to exceed 25 million by 2050 due to ageing and population growth. The disease is more common in men and prevalent in older adults. East and South Asia will see the highest case numbers, while Sub-Saharan Africa will experience the fastest growth. With no cure available, PD poses a rising global health challenge, demanding stronger healthcare systems, early diagnosis, and better access to treatment, especially in low- and middle-income countries In this review we are collecting various information on parkinson disease management from pubmed, google scholor, and sci hub. This review concluded and explained that various development and innovated on the management of parkinson disease.
