ABSTRACT The COVID-19 pandemic created unprecedented challenges for global healthcare systems, highlighting the critical role of pharmacists as accessible and trusted healthcare professionals. Pharmacists played a vital role in ensuring the continuous supply of essential medicines, providing accurate drug information, and combating misinformation within communities. They contributed to patient care by offering telepharmacy services, counseling on preventive measures, and supporting vaccination programs. In hospitals, clinical pharmacists were actively involved in optimizing pharmacotherapy for COVID-19 patients, managing drug interactions, and participating in treatment protocols. Community pharmacists acted as frontline workers, often being the first point of contact for the public, thereby reducing the burden on hospitals and clinics.
