ABSTRACT

Diuretics are the first-line treatment for eliminating extra fluid. They can be used alone or in conjunction with thiazides, carbonic anhydrase inhibitors, loop diuretics, and thiazide like diuretics. Diuretics are used to increase the excretion of water and electrolytes in a variety of clinical settings. The British National Health Service lists sixteen distinct diuretics. formulary, with different ways of working. The majority of these substances affect renal tubular Naï reabsorption, which lowers the osmotic gradient and, consequently, the nephron's water reabsorption.[1]
