ABSTRACT Aging skin is a complicated process influenced by internal and external factors. It often occurs due to oxidative stress, the breakdown of collagen and elastin, glycation, and inflammation. Natural extracts made with methanol often contain phenolic, flavonoid, and other secondary compounds that offer strong antioxidant, anti-glycation, anti-elastase, and anti-collagenase effects. This study aims to create and compare different ointment formulations using a methanolic extract from a selected plant. We will evaluate their physical and chemical properties, stability, and test their antioxidant and anti-aging effects in vitro using assays like DPPH, ABTS, FRAP, elastase, and collagenase inhibition, and assess potential advanced glycation end-product (AGE) formation. The findings should aid in the development of effective topical anti-aging products derived from natural sources.
