Dr. Asha Patel*, Dr. Dinesh Todkari, Dr. Abdeli Bhadarva
ABSTRACT Ayurveda emphasizes the intricate relationship between diet, behavior and mental states. The Triguna concept categorizes human behavior into Sattva, Rajas and Tamas. Diet plays a pivotal role in shaping an individual's Triguna balance influencing their mental and emotional well-being. Every entity in this universe, including the Mana and diet possess Triguna. As a result, dietary choices directly influence the body's Triguna balance, which in turn shapes behavioral patterns and manifestations. This holistic approach to nutrition and behavioral balance offers a powerful tool for self-transformation, empowering individuals to take charge of their mental and emotional health states. The consumption of specific foods can either promote or diminish Sattva, Rajas and Tamas. By tuning our Triguna through dietary choices, we can unlock the secrets to optimal behavioral balance, mental clarity, and emotional well-being. This study demonstrates the profound impact of dietary choices on Triguna balance and behavioraltendencies. By adopting a holistic approach to nutrition, individualscan tune their Triguna and cultivate a balanced, Sattvic state of mind. These findings have significant implications for promoting mental well-being and preventing behavioral disorders. Keywords: diet, behavioral tendencies, Sattva, Rajas, Tamas.
