Abstract

REVIEW ON AZADIRACHTA INDICA EXHIBITING ANTI DIABETIC PROPERTY

ABSTRACT

Azadirachta indica, commonly known as Neem, it is a member of the Meliaceae family. Azadirachta indica has been used medicinally throughout history by many different cultures. Many compounds have been found in the exudates of the, Azadirachta indica plant that have been used medically by humans. Azadirachta indica serves as an important alternative source in the management of diabetes mellitus. The various bioactive constituents like azadirachtin, nimbin, nimbidiol, nimbidin are found to be present in neem.
