Shreya Kumari*, Mr. Gopal Kumar* and Rajaram R. and Rajbhar*
ABSTRACT Epilepsy is a neuro degenerative disease caused by various factor which are unknown till the date. There is many research which have been done but none of them provides any specific reason due to which these neuronal diseases occur. This sector of medicinal science has been one of the most interesting sites for researchers now a days. There is various route through which many drugs are tried and all routes have different impact. Since brain consist of BBB that is Blood Brain Barrier it’s very hard for drugs to cross this barrier due to its super selective nature. This major problem let researchers to think about the various other method through which drugs for such disorder can be administrated with lowest side effect. Researchers have shown interest in transdermal patches as it avoids the first pass metabolism leading to a better drug metabolism and absorption. These methods have a better impact along with reducing the side effect. This project enlightensabout the role of lamotrigine. It focuses on the formulation, development and evaluation for the future aspects. It also provides the future direction for further studies and how it can be improved. Keywords: .
