Vismaya C.*, P. L. Rajagopal, K. Aryamol and Anu Alif
ABSTRACT Baccaurea courtallensis (Phyllanthaceae) is an endemic tree of the Western Ghats, traditionally used to treat ailments such as diarrhoea, ulcers, and inflammation. This study aimed to evaluate its pharmacognostical features, phytochemical profile, and spectroscopic characteristics using methanolic bark extract of Baccaurea courtallensis. The results validate the traditional medicinal use of B. courtallensis and highlight its potential as a source of bioactive phytochemicals. These findings suggest the need for further pharmacological investigations to validate the bioactivity of the extract. Keywords: Baccaurea courtallensis, pharmacognostical, phytochemical, spectroscopy. [Download Article] [Download Certifiate] |
