TRACING LITERATURE REGARDING TALISHPATRA (ABIES SPECTABILIS (D. Don) Mirb.) FROM CHIKITSAGRANTHA

ABSTRACT

Background: Talishpatra (Abies spectabilis (D.Don) Mirb.) is considered a significant medicinal plant in Ayurveda due to its diverse therapeutic properties. It is traditionally used in the treatment of various ailments, owing to its antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory and antioxidant activities. The plant's leaves and essential oils are employed for their efficacy in managing respiratory disorders, digestive issues, and skin. Materials and Methods: The data about Talishpatra (Abies spectabilis (D. Don) Mirb.) has been collected, classified and explained in this article by full text screening of 24 Chikitsagrantha. Single indications and formulations containing Talishpatra (Abies Spectabilis(d.don) Mirb.) both were considered while this study. Indications, Internal or external applications, Dosage form of Talishpatra (Abies spectabilis (D. Don) Mirb.), Dosage form of Talishpatra (Abies spectabilis (D. Don) Mirb.) preparations and references were the different variables considered and extracted during this review. Observation and Results: Vital information about the indications, dosage forms, various applications and various formulations of Talishpatra (Abies spectabilis (D. Don) Mirb.) were found. Discussion: This review has highlighted the various indications, various dosage forms, Internal-external application and Amayika Prayoga of Talishpatra (Abies spectabilis (D. Don) Mirb.), which will help to understand the range of its applicability and its accurate indication according to diseases stages.
