Dr. Pavithra G.*, Dr. Surekha Medikeri
ABSTRACT Rajavirechana Vati is a classical Ayurvedic formulation primarily utilized for its purgative and detoxifying properties. It is commonly prescribed in the management of conditions such as constipation, bloating, and certain metabolic disorders. The formulation typically includes ingredients like Parada (Mercury), Gandhaka (sulfur), Tankana (borax), Gouripashana (Arsenic oxide), Trikatu, Triphala and Jayaphala (croton seed), each contributing to its therapeutic effects. Despite its inclusion in the Sahasrayogam, a renowned compilation of Ayurvedic formulations, its pharmacological and therapeutic actions remain underexplored. This article aims to critically evaluate the pharmacological actions, clinical efficacy and therapeutic applications of Rajavirechana Vati, with a focus on its under-researched aspects. Keywords: Raja Virechana Vati, Ayurvedic formulation, Pharmacological action. [Download Article] [Download Certifiate] |
