A THERAPEUTIC POTENTIAL OF KATTRAZHAI ENNAI: A REVIEW

ABSTRACT

The Siddha system uses natural remedies, including herbs, minerals, and animal products, combined with diet, lifestyle, and spiritual practices like yoga and medication. Diagnosis is made through unique methods such as pulse reading, urine analysis, and eightfold examination. Siddha medicine aims not only to treat diseases but also to promote long life, rejuvenation (kayakalpa), and spiritual wellbeing. The medicine called kattrazhai ennai is one among the siddha medicine mentioned on the book balavagadam. The drug review of the medicine explains about morphology, family, chemical consituents and pharmacological actions of each ingredients. The main sources of review as siddha text and resources from the database and relevant journal’s. The main aim of the study is to assesement the chemical constituents and action of the drug kattrazhai ennai. Secondary aim is to spread awareness about the drug. The conclusion suggest thatkattrazhai ennai may possess therapeutic benefits, but further research is needed to establish its efficacy and safety.
