ABSTRACT This comprehensive study delves into the development and evaluation of a novel nanoemulsion-based terbinafine nail lacquer, uniquely designed to combat onychomycosis while addressing inflammation and allergic responses. Incorporating anti-allergic and anti- inflammatory agents enhances the patient experience by minimizing irritation and discomfort, distinguishing it from existing formulations. The paper explores the formulation design, preparation, characterization, and therapeutic efficacy, alongside an in-depth comparison with marketed products. Results demonstrate superior drug penetration, antifungal efficacy, and patient compliance, positioning this lacquer as a breakthrough in topical antifungal therapy. The study also discusses potential adaptations for use in treating skin diseases, broadening its therapeutic scope. Keywords: Onychomycosis, Nanoemulsions, Nail Lacquer, Levocetirizine, Terbinafine HCL. [Download Article] [Download Certifiate] |
