EFFECT OF SHILADHATRI VATI IN MADHUMEHA (DIABETES MELLITUS): A DETAILED REVIEW

ABSTRACT

Madhumeha (Diabetes Mellitus) is a chronic metabolic disorder characterized by elevated blood glucose levels due to insulin deficiency or resistance. Ayurveda describes Madhumeha under Prameha and offers various herbal formulations for its management. Shiladhatri Vati is one such Ayurvedic preparation known for its anti-diabetic properties. This article explores the pharmacological actions, ingredients, mechanism of action, and clinical efficacy of Shiladhatri Vati in managing Madhumeha, supported by traditional references and modern research.
